Why FAA certification matters

Florida is one of the most heavily regulated drone airspace environments in the country — with Orlando International Airport, military corridors, and restricted zones throughout Central Florida. Hiring an uncertified operator to fly commercially isn't just a legal risk for them — it creates liability for the agent, broker, and property owner.

Every 360 Virtual Orlando pilot holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and carries $1M in liability coverage. We file airspace authorizations through the FAA LAANC system for every controlled-airspace flight. You get the shot. We handle compliance.

FAA Part 107 Certified

Federal certification required for all commercial drone operations. We carry proof of certification on every shoot.

LAANC Airspace Auth

Automatic FAA authorization for controlled airspace near MCO and other Orlando-area airports. We handle it before every flight.

48MP Aerial Imagery

DJI Enterprise aircraft delivering 48MP+ stills and 4K/6K video. Crisp enough for large-format print, fast enough for MLS deadlines.

$1M Liability Coverage

Full commercial drone insurance on every flight. Agents and sellers are protected. No surprises.

Aerial photography use cases

Drone photography isn't just for luxury estates. It's useful any time the land, location, or surroundings tell part of the story:

  • Residential listings — lot size, backyard, pool, and neighborhood context
  • Waterfront and lakefront properties — the view that sells the listing
  • Commercial real estate — parking, access, and surrounding infrastructure
  • Apartment communities — amenities, footprint, and curb appeal
  • Construction progress documentation
  • Resort and hospitality overviews
  • Land and acreage listings
FAQ

Common questions answered.

Yes, but only if the operator holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. Flying a drone for commercial purposes — including real estate listings — without Part 107 certification is illegal under federal law. All 360 Virtual Orlando pilots are FAA Part 107 certified.

Most residential and commercial areas in Central Florida are accessible under Part 107 rules. Controlled airspace near Orlando International Airport (MCO) requires prior FAA authorization via the LAANC system — which we handle automatically. Some areas near military installations or national parks have additional restrictions.

FAA regulations cap commercial drones at 400 feet above ground level in uncontrolled airspace. In practice, most compelling real estate aerials are captured between 50–200 feet — high enough for context, low enough to show architectural detail.

We fly DJI Enterprise and Mavic series aircraft, which produce 48MP+ still images and 4K/6K video. All equipment is professionally maintained and insured. We carry $1M liability coverage on every flight.

Drone flights require wind under approximately 20 mph and no active rain. We monitor weather closely and will reschedule at no charge if conditions are unsafe. Florida afternoon storms are common — morning shoots are preferred for more predictable conditions.

Yes. Aerial photography adds context that ground-level photos cannot — showing lot size, proximity to amenities, neighborhood layout, and architectural features that only read from above. Properties with aerial photos receive significantly more online views than those without.
